Appointment of Mike Jakeman as CEO Greater China

Andrew Kirkland, CEO Asia & Middle East, Royal & SunAlliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Jakeman to the role of Chief Executive Officer, Royal & SunAlliance for Greater China with effect from 23 July, 2007.

"Mike has over 30 years experience at R&SA and has worked in a number of underwriting, marketing, operations and senior management positions in both the UK and Canada. Most recently he led the successful turnaround and growth of the Group's Canadian commercial operation.

Mike's broad commercial insurance experience combined with his underwriting and operations background will certainly bring great benefits to our brokers and agents in China and Hong Kong."
