Royal & SunAlliance sponsors the publicity program of the World Blood Donor Day

To be a responsible corporate citizen has been Royal & SunAlliance's long standing mission. We are proud to be the sponsor of the publicity program of the upcoming World Blood Donor Day on 14 June 2005, which is run by Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service.

The campaign is an opportunity to show appreciation to blood donors and motivate more people to give blood. In order to reinforce public's awareness on blood donation, video clips, posters and advertisements at public transport facilities, shopping malls, housing apartments, blood donor centers and local newspapers will be publicized during June and July.

Hong Kong Red Cross has been our long-standing partner since 2000. Besides blood donation, we had given support in their various voluntary services and advertising programs including last year's World Blood Donor Day celebration. We are also planning to have a blood donation activity in our office later this year. Hong Kong Red Cross has been nominating Royal & SunAlliance for the Caring Company award since 2002.

We firmly believe that this sponsorship could help Hong Kong Red Cross to drive more people to give blood, bringing hope to and brightening the lives of the people in need.
