Our Professional Support to Tsunmai


The whole organization of Royal & SunAlliance was deeply touched by the scenes of the tsunami disaster which killed over 160,000 people and left more than 5 million people homeless.

Andy Haste, our Group CEO, stated that it is important for us to contribute to the relief fund. In three months' time, donation from colleagues worldwide and the Group amounted to a sum of £ 216,842.

In Hong Kong operation, being recognized as one of the Caring Companies, we have made appeal to our colleagues to make donations to support our sponsorship partner, HK Red Cross, in helping those people affected. In response to this catastrophe, our claims people keep on demonstrating their professionalism by offering prompt service to those people affected.

In addition to our proactive claims service, Jimmy Ng, Assistant General Manager said, "we are proud that all our travel insurance customers could enjoy the best protection from us as they are entitled to compensation for flight delay, trip cancellation & curtailment as a result of natural disaster whilst majority of market practitioners can only cover parts but not all of these protection. We will continue to provide the comprehensive travel insurance protection at the current price."
