Royal & SunAlliance secured 2004 Gold Wastewi$e Award

Royal & SunAlliance was recently granted the Gold Wastewi$e Award in appreciation of its effort to environmental protection and waste reduction. It is the fifth consecutive year that we receive the Wastewi$e award since 2000. And we were granted the Gold Wastewi$e award since 2002. Our Managing Director Mr. Keith Land has attended the presentation ceremony on 7 March to receive the award.

This award is a recognition of our commitment and care for society including our promotion of waste minimization, collection / recycling of recyclables and buying of recycled products. We are not only adhered to the requirements of local environmental regulations, but also exceed to achieve continual improvement in using recycled products.

We are the first general insurance company in Hong Kong to receive the award. We are proud of taking the lead in the industry to realize our social responsibility.

We are honored to receive the award, and firmly believe it has a positive impact in bringing the industry into environmental concern.
