Claim Procedure

My PetGuard - Pet Insurance


If you need to file a Pet Insurance claim:

  1. Please notify your agent, broker or us immediately.
  2. Please follow the below procedures, provide us with the Completed Claim Form with respective documents:
    1. FOR VETERINARY TREATMENT
      Completed claim form by you and your vet at your own expense within 30 days together with original vet invoice.
    2. MISSING / THEFT / DEATH OF PET
      Completed claim form by you and your vet at your own expenses within 30 days (for death case), Report to Police (for missing / theft case) and original copy of the pedigree certificate.
    3. CLAIM FOR ADVERTISING AND REWARD FOR MISSING PET
      Completed claim form, a copy of the advertisement and the receipt for the advertisement fees. You need to seek our approval for any offer of reward.
    4. FOR KENNELS/CATTERY OR BOARDING FEES IF YOU ARE HOSPITALISED
      A copy of in-patient certificate or letter from your doctor or consultant stating the dates you were in hospital at your own expense for the document. Original receipts from the kennels/cattery showing dates of your pet's stay and the daily fee charged.
    5. FOR THIRD PARTY LIABILITY CLAIMS
      Please notify us immediately by completing and returning the claim form within the following 14 days. Do not make any admission of liability or promise to pay any third party without our written consent.
    6. FOR TRAVEL PROTECTION
      Please send to us within 30 days upon your return to Hong Kong a copy of your holiday booking invoice or any other official documents to show the dates of your holiday. And tell us the first and last date your pet was treated.
